Most of know from experience that aloe is the best topical aid for sunburns. A little gel on red-hot summer skin is one of the most cooling remedies you can find. But, if you aren’t using it internally, too, you are seriously missing out.
The Hydrating Effects of Aloe
Just like the hydration it gives your skin after too much sun, it can also provide healthy hydration from the inside out. A hydrated body functions much more effectively overall which leads to better digestion and nutrition absorption. Aloe is 95% ‘structured’ water that also contains powerful electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals, so after a sweaty workout it can help you refuel naturally. And yes, you guessed it, hydration from within is also the best trick for fresh, glowing skin!
RWM’s Tips
If you’re going for bottled juice or gel, here’s some words to look for: decolorized, purified, organic, and safety-tested. You might see some labels mention aloin, too. Be sure the bottled juice or gel has very little (<2-5ppm) or none at all. This will ensure that you get the highest quality aloe juice or gel, and be well on your way to healthy hydration that your body will love.
